The learning problem

Recognising a word is not the same as being able to build a sentence. A learner may remember vocabulary but still hesitate when speaking, especially when a language changes word endings according to the job a word is doing.

Gora Academy addresses that gap with courses in Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin. The product is designed for people who want a structured route into the language, whether they are learning for family, everyday life or personal interest.

A course, not a collection of disconnected exercises

The course gives learners a sequence to work through. Vocabulary and sentence-building sit alongside explanations, so the learner has somewhere to turn when an answer feels unfamiliar. This is a product choice: keep the learning path visible while making the supporting material accessible.

Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin have closely related foundations, but Gora presents them as separate course choices. The learner chooses the language they came to learn rather than having to navigate a general-purpose label.

Make the explanation part of the experience

Gora's grammar reference uses plain English to explain what is happening in the language. Instead of expecting a beginner to arrive knowing grammatical terminology, the aim is to connect a rule to the sentences they are learning to use.

Vocabulary review supports recall, while speaking and listening activities give learners another way to practise. An AI fox conversation partner provides a place to try speaking without needing to organise a conversation with another person first. AI practice supports the course; it is not a claim that automated feedback is infallible or that an app replaces a teacher.

Let people experience a lesson before creating an account

The first lesson can be tried without registering. An account is required to continue beyond that lesson, and new accounts receive seven days of full access without a payment card. Continued full access then requires a subscription.

This makes the first decision concrete: try the learning experience, then decide whether to continue. It also means a store visit, an account signup and a subscription are different steps—not interchangeable measures of success.
